I am inspired to inform us that: in every field of life, the PASSAGE OF TIME merely guarantees experience, it is the USAGE OF TIME that brings about EXPERTISE. *#fact*
This simply implies that after spending 40yrs in learning a trade, there exists a possibility that you may only succeed in getting 40yrs experience, without actually becoming an expert in that trade.
This is because, Expertise is not guaranteed by experience but by commitment; this is the more reason why a junior apprentice in a workshop can be seen to be doing well more than the older apprentices even just after few months into his apprenticeship.
I have heard Teachers, Doctors and especially Lawyers boast about the number of years they have been in their professional services; I sometimes wonder what the insinuations from those boasts may likely imply, knowing full well that expertise is not determined by duration but by level of commitment, just same way life’s success is not determined by age, but by commitment.
This piece is geared towards reawakening our consciousness to the fact that a wasted time can not be regained. So I ask:
HOW WELL ARE YOU USING THE TIME YOU HAVE IN LIFE?
WHAT ARE YOUR ENGAGEMENTS?
